Officials at York City are attempting to secure more tickets for the eagerly-awaited FA Cup tie at Leicester City a week tomorrow.
Minstermen fans have already snapped up their original allocation of 2,000 tickets after Terry Dolan's men won through to the plum third-round showdown with last week's replay win at Reading.
With demand still hot in North Yorkshire, the Bootham Crescent outfit are to ask their Premiership hosts for an increased supply, especially given the fact that the Foxes are not expecting to put up the 'house full' signs.
Major reductions in prices for the travelling fans had already been agreed between the two clubs and this has helped sell out York's' share. Tickets for Minstermen fans in the East Stand at Filbert Street were cut from £20 to £15 for adults and were priced at £10 for over-65s and just £1 for under-16s if bought before Thursday, January 4.
City were hoping to hold discussions with Leicester today.
