But the points were not assured for Dringhouses until the last minute when Jim McMurray netted their second.

Elsewhere, Rufforth defeated Stamford Bridge 5-1, with Rob Sanderson (2), Dean Carter, Gary Keenan and Paul Hemingway on target. Bobby Andrews scored Stamford's consolation goal.

One point separates the top five in Reserve 'C'. Copmanthorpe failed to consolidate their position at the top as they went down 2-1 at third from bottom Norton United. After a goalless first half Stuart Ellis opened the scoring for Norton in the 50th minute, but Lee Atkinson levelled for Copmanthorpe two minutes later. With ten minutes left Ellis bagged the winner.

Wilberfoss moved into second place on goal difference, after a 3-0 win at Stillington. Rob Walker, John Parkin and Ross Pooley were their scorers.

In the Junior Cup Huby went through to round three after a close encounter at Haxby & Wigginton.
