Yorkshire 'B' edged out Notinghamshire 'B' 132-126 at South Forest in a friendly.
Earswick's Ray Clark skipped a successful rink, which also included his fellow club member Harry Rhodes, winning 26-16.
Bill Waldie played third to York's Graham Instone before losing 35-25.
They were leading 13-11 after 11 ends before they were hit with a five, seven and a six in successive ends to leave them trailing 29-13, a deficit they couldn't claw back.
Barry Johnson's team were also winning 17-16 after scoring a five on the 16th end only for their opponents to score from the following four ends, which left too much to do in the last.
Clark and Rhodes were in one of the only two rinks to win, doing so with ease after opening up an 18-0 lead after only ten ends. Even though their opponents scored a seven on the 14th, the game was never in doubt.
For the record the other Yorkshire scores saw Talbot's rink win 28-16, Hodge's draw 18-18 and Bellamy's lose 19-17.
