Harrogate have dropped former Leicester stand-off Lee Cholewa after he missed a last minute penalty kick which would have secured two points against local rivals Wharfedale.
Ever-present Cholewa, is replaced for a trip to Fylde by Richard Windle, who has been turning in star performances for the Georgians - and kicking goals.
Windle, whose opportunities after signing from Nottingham were limited last season by Matt Duncombe, has waited patiently for his chance.
Head coach Ralph Zoing said: "Rich has been pushing hard for a start all season, consistently playing well for the seconds. He has been kicking his goals. Essentially he is in very much on merit.
"Ironically Lee is striking the ball better than he has done at any time this season, but we have lost a number of games by not kicking penalties."
In addition to Saturday, Zoing cited narrow defeats at Rosslyn Park, Camberley and in the Tetley's Bitter Cup at Rugby, as well as the draw at Preston Grasshoppers.
He is forced into another chance in the back with right wing Paul Clayton ruled out with a twisted ankle and replaced by Craig Reed.
In the pack Peter Taylor returns to the second row with John Dudley dropped back to number 8, ousting Richard Wade. Zoing accepted Wade was unlucky to be relegated to the bench, particularly after an outstanding performance against Wharfedale.
