SIMON RITCHIE
The Grinch published by Konami for Playstation
As the Grinch, your aim in this game is to stop Christmas forever and to do this you need to complete all the different tasks in the task book.
The tasks on this game range from the easy to the very difficult and some of the tasks can only be completed with the aid of the Grinch's many inventions, including the "rotten egg launcher" and the "Grinch copter". The inventions are acquired by collecting the blueprints on the various levels.
The graphics on this game are shabby and suffer from a lot of drop-out. The camera angles are annoying, as they do not give you the proper views needed on some parts of the game.
The music on this game is very annoying and frustrating, particularly when the Grinch repeats little phrases. It would be better if the soundtrack was different on the various levels.
The only game option available is the story mode. This game did not make me want to stay on it all night - in fact I was quite happy to stop and save when I had to go to bed.
Overall, I think this game is definitely only suitable for young children as it does not represent much of a challenge to older players but, if you like the Rugrats game, you will probably like this as it is much the same.

TOM DAKER
The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Nintendo 64)
Majora's Mask biggest success is that the game system has not been over-tweaked, which has been the failing of so many adventure sequels in the past.
In fact, the control mechanics are almost identical to the original N64 Zelda game. Majora's Mask is still an improvement on the fabulous Ocarina Of Time with bigger areas, more characters and better graphics and sound.
The early part of the game, which is a race against the clock, can be frustrating, but it is well worth persevering as it won't take too long to conquer. Then you start the quest to retrieve Majora's Mask from the evil Skull Kid and you meet all manner of weird and wonderful creatures and characters. There are lots of mini-games and sub-quests, so this isn't game for the weak-hearted. Fans of the original should not be disappointed and shelling out for the required 8 Meg Expansion Pack shouldn't deter you from this cracking title.

SEAN HARTE
Theme Park World, published by Electronic Arts for Playstation 2
This game is similar to Theme Park but much better. Now you can build your own rides, ride them, open new parks and build the ultimate rollercoaster. You must also make as much profit as possible, which is the hardest part.
The music is suited to the area you are in and the odd scream adds to the atmosphere. The graphics are cartoony with two viewpoints, an aerial view and a ground-level view.
I would recommend this game to most people, but if you hate strategy games give this one a miss.

ALASTAIR THYNE
Tweety's High Flying Adventure, published by Kemco for Gameboy
Tweety has to collect 80 pawprints from around the world whilst his mission is to save the park and prove to the park keeper birds are smarter than cats.
Tweety has a fine old time clobbering the cats, and avoiding certain harmless-looking characters, ie pretty-looking flowers and bees, which at first are not that easy to run from and the cunning fish can really pack a mean punch.
Once you have Sylvester where you want him - well-clobbered - don't be too slow or the paw print will just disappear and you have to go through the whole process again.
Overall, the graphics were quite good, although the game soon got very predictable and uneventful towards the end.

CONNOR SIMPSON-KEY (nine)
Disney's Aladdin in Nasira's Revenge for PC, published by Disney Interactive
I THINK the game is fantastic. Level two is very hard but from there it is easy. I think the graphics are good as well. It is very adventurous and exciting.
