CEREAL growers are being warned to beware of foreign spring wheat seed of "untried and untested" varieties currently being imported in response to the "sold out" notice on home-grown spring wheat.
Nickerson (UK) Ltd is advising growers who still have land to drill not to be panicked into "buying the unknown", saying there is still time to sow recommended wheat varieties.
