Gary Penrose won the Charity Christmas Snooker Championship, which raised £103.55 for Woodlands Respite Care Centre, Thief Lane, York.
He beat Wayne Geoghegan 75-2 in the final at the Cueball Club after breaks of 39 and 22.
Penrose had beaten Ben Purvis 2-0 in frames in his semi-final after finishing second behind Geoghegan in the group games.
Geoghegan beat the runner-up of the other group, Mark Dodds, 2-1 in his semi-final.
A cue, donated by Riley snooker, was raffled.
The £50 winner's cheque was given by Going Places Holiday World, Monks Cross.
The event was organised by Kevin Hopper, who is a volunteer driver for Woodlands.
Meanwhile, United Services 'A' retained their Malton and Norton District Snooker League Five Frame Aggregate Trophy by beating Malton Bacon Factory 'A' 3-2 in the final.
The results were (United Services names first): Adam Stolting beat Chris Brigham 57-28, Charlie Scott (+61) lost to Simon Weatherill 102-85, Michael Bayes lost to Richard Newby 60-40, Mark Gerrard beat A Denny 66-31, Joe Goddard(+60) beat Dominic Spiteri.
Wayne Chapman (United Services 'B') caused an upset in the individual competition, defeating Keith Strangeway (Railway) in a match lasting two and a half hours.
He continued his good form by beating Wayne Taylor (Malton Bacon Factory) in the Cassidy Trophy.
