Chris Myhill slotted a 76 finish then, with Sarah Stones, won the decider for Dringhouses against division two front-runners Shepherds.
Half Moon had the match in the bag within the singles against Britannia 'A' whose best was Kath Williams.
Burton WMC kept the top spot in division three with a 6-3 victory at Clifton, Margaret Davis slotted in the tons for the club side.
Mitre kept the pressure on by beating close rivals Poacher with Wendy Smith recording three tons and Dorothy Barker also in good form.
Slip glided into a 5-1 scoreline, Suzi Webb Mount's only winner. Heather Bulmer and Maggie Schofield sealed Jubilee a 5-4 win against Tang Hall WMC.

Division four leaders Queen, again slipped as Leeman 'B' shot to a 6-3 win. Second-placed Junction also lost valuable ground to excellent scoring by Val Norman (113,132) who, with Bid Richardson, won the decider for Puss 'n Boots.
Marjorie Milnes (76 finish) put Cueball on level terms with Beeswing, but Joan Hunter and Barbara Johnson collected Cueball the deciding game.
Martyn Turner used bullseye to close a fine 21 darts, then partnered Louise Hart to get Leeman the decider against Golden Slipper in York John Smith's Mixed League division one.
Slipper's Wayne Foster included a maximum score.
Division two leaders Escrick lost to Burton Stone, who took the decider with James Joyce and Kathy Short.
Cygnet moved a step nearer to the York Exhibition Hotel Group League division one title by beating Flag 7-2.
Flag, a stubborn side to beat, had Gordon Foster brilliantly taking on bullseye to finish in 17 darts.
Dave Mason immediately responded with a 21 darter then Heath Scaife shot out on 106 to complete 18 darts.
Shepherd 'A' lost ground when going down 5-4 to Dringhouses, the winner taken by Pete Langan, Alan Shipley, which boosted Poachers' cause, whose 7-2 win at Horseman included 21 darts from Ray McInally and a maximum from Colin Fowler.
Derrick Hudson set Holgate off with a good 20 darts but Trafalgar, with Ron Simpson a 180 scorer, held their top four place with a 6-3 victory.
Division two leaders Earswick Bowls Club struggled to win 7-2 at Institute 'A', while Institute 'B' lost 7-2 at Slip, who had 19 darts to count from Bruce Alexander.
Vaults lost three valuable points at Groves despite 20 darts by Phil Smith and 180 included by Keith Mercer.
Saddle consolidated second place with a 5-4 win against Green Tree 'A'. Chris Rowe and Steve Swithenbank grabbed the winner, but Paul Cooper shot a tremendous 15 darter and Alistair Horne gamed in 19.
