Cash-stricken York Wasps Rugby League Club have launched a last-ditch effort to keep the club alive after being plunged back into crisis.
Bosses at the Northern Ford Premiership club are seeking approval from their creditors to enter into a Company Voluntary Arrangement in a desperate bid to stop the club going under. The Wasps, who survived a winding-up order only in August, are unable to pay off massive debts and have sought the advice of Leeds-based corporate recovery experts Begbies Traynor as they attempt to maintain professional rugby league in the city.
