I VISIT friends in Selby every Christmas making sure it coincides with the Barlby Foot-tappers concert in Selby Abbey. What a musical feast.
The parents of those talented young musicians must be so proud. Such a vibrant atmosphere buzzed around the abbey the entire evening.
There was music to suit all tastes and ages played with such enthusiasm it entertained a packed house for more than two hours.
The hilarious banter between conductor Andrew Joy and abbey vicar, the Rev Keith Jukes, sent wave after wave of laughter ringing round the historical building. Well done to all the children involved - you are a credit to your schools and communities.
