A Whitby man is recovering in hospital after surviving a jet crash in which the pilot died.
The 51-year-old, who does not wish to be named, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with possible spinal injuries after the privately-owned Jet Provost came down on farmland in Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire Police believe it was on a pre-purchase test flight from Humberside Airport.
The pilot, who has not been named, was confirmed dead at the scene. It is believed he has relatives in the Cambridgeshire area.
The passenger is in a stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
