A Ryedale factory has shed 17 jobs because of the knock-on effects of a strong pound.
The workers will all lose their jobs at Sherburn-based structural steel firm Atlas Ward Structures before Christmas.
Chief executive Ken Anderson said the strong pound had turned a predicted £1 million profit into a loss. It had become uneconomical to export products made in Sherburn.
The redundancies are to be made in the factory's bundling, packaging and loading departments.
