Ian Eaton and Sean Ogley hit top form to record three wins for 90-37. Selby's John Hardy and Dave Barker beat Ian McClaren and Paul Nichol 17-14 15-6.
Riverside carried on their good form in men's division two with a 6-3 win away to RI Tuesday/Thursday 'B'. Riverside's Geoff Oxley and John Fowler scored three straight wins for 90-31, including a nine and nought over Col Brooks and Brian Morley, who scored two wins for RI.
Andy Limbert and Dave Brogden scored three straight wins for 90-57 to help Knavesmire win 6-3 away to Students 'B'. Simon Taylor and Michael Chisholm scored two wins for the students, but lost seven and 13 to Limber and Brogden.
Ian Shore and Lorraine Ellis scored three wins for 92-56 as Clifton 'A' won 7-2 at home to Rowntree 'A' in mixed division one. Shore and Ellis won nine and six against Steve and Emma Andrew, who scored two wins for Rowntree.
Rowntree 'A' crashed 9-0 away to Drax 'A', whose Steve Parr and Jos Faulder gained three straight wins for a return of 92-31.
In Huntington 'A' team's 6-3 win at home to Clifton 'B' in mixed division two, Clifton's Ian Shore and Gerry Screeton scored three wins for 112-99 after going to a deciding end in all three rubbers.
York Police were given a tough match by Easingwold before winning their mixed division three fixture 7-2. Alison Monk and Phil Young took both points for the visitors, but lost two and four to the craft of Peter and Carol Howes.
Andy Limbert and Ann Hopwood took three wins to help Knavesmire 'A' win 6-3 away to Rowntree 'C'. Their return of 90-54 was well supported by David Brogden and Joy Wilson, who scored three Knavesmire wins for a total of 92-40.
Rowntree 'C' bounced back in their next match to win 6-3 at home to Clifton 'C'. John Emptage and Sheila Mackerel scored three straight wins for 90-28 including a nought and 13 win over Melanie Knowles and Daniel Woolfson, who won two for Clifton.
Clifton 'C' had earlier beaten York University Staff Club 6-3 at St Peter's School, with Knowles and Woolfson scoring three straight wins for a return of 90-38.
Dave Simpson and Lisa Metcalf scored three wins in straight sets for a total of 90-21 as Shepherd's won 9-0 at home to Selby 77 'B' in mixed division four.
John Warburton and Sue Smith scored three wins for 105-72 to help Market Weighton win 7-2 at home to University Staff Club in mixed division five. Warburton and Smith won 13-15 17-14 15-12 against Darren Leetham and Janette Colclough, who took both Staff Club wins.
