The Environment Agency today issued flood warnings for riverside footpaths in and around York as well as for Naburn Lock.
A spokeswoman said the River Ouse, swollen by an inch of overnight rain, was likely to peak at 11 feet two inches above normal at midday tomorrow.
At the peak of the autumn floods, the river was more than six feet higher than tomorrow's predicted levels.
