WE hear so much about the "neighbours from hell" these days that the Evening Press decided to even things up. That was the idea behind our Neighbours From Heaven initiative.

We were delighted to uncover any number of inspirational stories of neighbourliness. Some lucky folk are blessed with neighbours who help out when they are sick; who cook, look after their children, do their shopping and generally put their neighbour's needs before their own.

Our very worthy winner, Margaret Hoyle, has been a true friend to Edith Cross next door for more than 30 years. For Edith, Margaret is heaven sent.
