The prospect of yet more flooding in Ryedale has reared its ugly head after Environment Agency chiefs put the North York Moors and Vale of York on Flood Watch.
The warnings came after the River Rye at Howe Bridge, between Malton and Pickering, had broken its banks and the River Derwent at Old Malton had flooded a nearby field.
The bad news has been further fuelled by reports from the Met. Office that a heavy downpour for North Yorkshire is expected this coming weekend.
