Hull Kingston Rovers are rolling out the welcome mat for York Wasps' followers on Sunday.
Fans arriving for the Northern Ford Premiership game on club and supporters' buses are to get a free ticket to greyhound racing at Craven Park.
The gesture is being made by Hull KR director Don Robinson who is promoting dog racing at Craven Park as part of a plan to revitalise the rugby league club.
"We want to reward people for following their team," said Robinson, a former Hull KR player and ex-chairman of Scarborough FC.
The club's bars have also been refurbished and will be open to all supporters, including visitors, from noon on Sunday.
Robinson said: "To keep Hull KR on course for a place in Super League we need financial help from our other activities and there are many of them at Craven Park both indoors and out. With the greyhound racing and other events we are attracting more than a quarter of a million people to the stadium and that has got to be good news for other local businesses as well as sponsors."
A new greyhound racing competition is being launched at Craven Park by bookies Manny Bernstein. It is open to greyhounds which have raced at Craven Park at least three times in the last three months.
The final will be held on Boxing Day with a top prize of £250. Each heat winner lands a £50 prize.
* York Wasps' fans wanting to book a seat on the Supporters' Club bus to Sunday's match should ring 07703 344306 after 7pm during the week. The bus will leave Huntington Stadium at 1pm, and costs £7.50 for members of £8.50 for non-members.
