Congratulations to James Farrar and Malcolm Fawcett, winners of the over-70s and over-60s sections of the Barnardos fun run respectively. Their endeavours confirm that the older generation are now fit for more than a nap by the fireside.

So it is not only veteran athletes such as James and Malcolm, but older people generally, who are running rings around younger generations.
