Haxby Lions provided a shock in the John Smiths Bitter Cup when they came from behind to defeat Shape Shop to go through to the quarter finals.
The York John Smiths Sunday Morning League division five side knocked out Shape Shop from division three on penalties after extra time failed to find a winner.
Peter Burnell gave Shape Shop the lead but Geraint Jones equalised in the second half and extra time failed to separate the two teams with Haxby finally going through 3-1 on penalties.
Opticare from division six held their own for 45 minutes against first division opposition Acomb WMC but second half goals from Danny Boden, Aide White and a Karl Young penalty saw Acomb through 3-0.
A Ray Moulds penalty and one from Paul Downs helped FC Magnet to a 2-1 win over York Nomads for whom Steven Crosby scored.
First half goals from Moss, James and Landsbro saw Severus overcome Bishopthorpe United 3-1, Paul Broadbent scoring United's consolation. Marcia also progressed 3-1 at Thorpe United where Allison, Wegelius and Chris Smith were on target. Thorpe's reply came from Crowther.
Goals by Cooke and Greenley saw Derwent United beat fellow first division opposition Hounds 2-1. Shane Forrest scored for Hounds.
In the league, New Earswick got back to winning ways courtesy of two Charlie Holmes goals in their 2-1 victory over Zafs. Wigginton won 1-0 at Middleton Celtic.
Riccall, yet to concede a league goal, moved to the top of division two after their 2-0 home win over Fulford Bay which came via Tim Connell and an own goal.
Carlton continued to improve with a 5-3 win over Copmanthorpe thanks to goals by Dan Edmondson (2), John Jeffrey, Matt Benson and a Sam Griggs penalty. Copmanthorpe's goals came from Mark Flood (both penalties) and Colin Gibson.
Two goals from Heels and one apiece from Hinds and Peake meant that Blacksmiths Arms opened up a five point lead at the top of division three with a 4-0 win over previously unbeaten BH Colts. Pocklington's 100 per cent record also went when they could only draw 1-1 at Acomb Sports Club.
Selby Olympia WMC proved too strong for Wilberfoss, winning 4-1 while Fulford WMC beat bottom club Black Horse 2-0 with goals from Chapman and Sutton.
Bishopthorpe Reserves travelled to Wigginton GH and suffered a heavy 9-1 defeat which has proved the last straw for the struggling division four side who have decided to resign from the league.
Raskelf travelled to a previously unbeaten Cygnet and won 6-0 with goals by Raper (2), Brimicombe, Hardy, Goodwin and Green.
Struggling Jubilee Reserves overcame Linton on Ouse 4-2 with goals from Fletcher (2), Midgely and Harrison. Two goals from Joe Smart and Eddie Phillips added to one each from Sam Wansworth and Ben Smart gave St Clement's a 6-2 home win over Acomb Celtic.
In division five, two goals for Matt Bastock and one for Dave Robinson saw Copmanthorpe Reserves home with a 3-1 win against Middleton Celtic Reserves. Heworth suffered a fifth consecutive defeat as they went down 4-3 at home to Inland Revenue. Coop (2) and O'Loughlin were the scorers for Heworth.
Enterprise Maff led twice in their division six game against Northern Spirit but poor defending cost them a share of the spoils as they went down 5-3. Scorers for Enterprise were Nicholson, Bell and England.
Shape Shop Reserves travelled to Knavesmire and gained a 4-2 victory.
