Children were treated to free face-painting to celebrate the opening of a caf at a Malton store.
Safeway's in Malton has been completely refurbished and this week the store opened a caf inside the shop to allow customers to grab a coffee and a bite to eat after doing their shopping.
A spokeswoman from Safeway said that on Saturday face-painter Hellen Suggitt was on hand to give children using the caf a make-over. "The children loved it and it was a nice way to mark the caf's opening," she said.
"The store has been completely rebuilt and doubled in size in recent months and we are due to officially open it next week. We have all sorts of new counters available in the store now including a one for hand-made pizzas and a delicatessen."
