York showed remarkable resilience in their Yorkshire Over 55s League game against North Cave.
York's two rinks struggled in the first leg away. Brian Thomas, Alwyn Johnson, John Berridge and Alan Storey lost 22-9 and Barry Walker, Alwyn Redhead, Roy Henderson and Ken Patterson were well beaten, 25-13.
That left York 25 shots to make up in the second leg - but they managed it.

In the Thanet Road rink, Fred Clayden, Dennis Haw, Ken Ogden and Dudley Williams, were 4-4 after seven ends but nine ends later led 21-7 and went on to win 26-13 to give York an 82-74 aggregate win and eight points from the game to North Cave's six.
