Tadcaster Swim Squad finished third of 37 teams at the City of Sheffield 'B' grade gala - their first team award trophy at an open gala.
A squad of 23 relatively inexperienced swimmers produced 64, personal best long course times and 32 top six positions, with every swimmer again achieving at least one long course personal best time.
In the 10-year age group, there were first, second and third places for Chloe Carter in the butterfly, freestyle and backstroke, while Leah Dever took a total of 17 seconds off her previous best times for her four events. There were also good times from Oliver Squires, Chris Lawrenson, and Matthew Fiddler on their first visit to the 50 metre pool.
Ben Walker, 11, won the 100 metres freestyle and was third in the backstroke.
Naomi Boynton had a 15 second pb in the butterfly, taking fourth place with a county qualifying time for good measure. Kerri Wands and Hannah Batty, who were competing in their first galas, and Clare Pugh also swam well.
There were three medals each for 12-year-olds Anna Horwell, Rachael Poynter and Adam Milner plus good swims from Samantha Poulter, while in the 13 year age group the Prior twins, Felicity and Stuart, both had first place trophies in their collection of medals, to add to the fourth place swum by Claire Passmore in the backstroke.
Other good swims in this age came from Hannah Weld, Carl Johnson and Tim Smyrk.
Fourteen-year-old Natalie Saunders won her races with pbs in the backstroke and butterfly, the latter event seeing colleagues Amy Costello and Luisa Horwell finish in the top four. Horwell collecting two more medals and pbs in other events.
Mary Clerehugh was sixth in the 100m breaststroke giving her a first medal for the squad, also in a much improved personal best time.
Austin Rawlinson, who has died in Liverpool aged 98, devoted his life to swimming.
After becoming England's backstroke champion, he reached the final of the 100 metres at the 1924 Olympics and later managed Great Britain's team at the 1960 Olympics.
