Neighbouring buildings housing dry cleaners and a bookshop in York have been sold for a total of £752,000.
Buyer was Great City Limited which acquired the freehold interest at 3 - 5 Low Ousegate from Wimpey Property.
The deal, steered by Chesterton on behalf of Great City Limited and Insignia Richard Ellis for Wimpey Property, reflected a yield of 9.46 per cent, with total rental income of £75,250 per year, exclusive.
One of the buildings is let to Dove Chase Ltd, trading as Universal Book Sale, which in July signed a 15-year agreement at an initial rent of £36,500 per annum exclusive, subject to five year upward-only reviews.
The ground floor sales area consists of 1,112 sq ft.
Next door is let to Johnson Cleaners UK Ltd - a 15-year lease signed in August 1996 at a rental of £38,750 per annum exclusive, also subject to upward-only reviews every five years.
It has a ground floor sales area of just over 900 sq ft.
