Heavenly voices will rise above steam engines at the National Railway Museum next month when school children from Terrington and Scarborough join forces to sing carols in aid of the NSPCC.
The children, from Terrington Hall School and Bramcote School in Scarborough, will be singing festive traditional songs to raise money for the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign, as part of which the City of York Council has teamed up with the NSPCC to try to put a stop to cruelty to children in York and help some of the city's most vulnerable young people.
As well as the singing, there will also be a supper at the Brief Encounter restaurant and a private viewing of the museum.
In addition to the concert, the museum is adding to its support of the NSPCC's campaign by featuring a special NSPCC Christmas tree throughout the festive season. The concert takes place on December 10. For tickets, call Janine Walderman on 0113 229 9320.
