THESE two little Christmas crackers, Holly and Ivy, have dressed up in true festive style to promote the RSPCA's winter fair in York.
Puppy Holly, a Rottweiler Pointer cross, and Ivy the kitten, are residents of the RSPCA animal home in Landing Lane, Holgate, where the fair takes place tomorrow between 1pm and 4pm.
Ruth McCabe, assistant manager of the animal home, said: "It's also the start of our Christmas food appeal which we do every year.
"We are especially desperate for pet food this year because we were flooded and cut off from the world and we don't seem to have received as many donations as usual.
"We're mainly appealing for food but we also need bedding and newspapers."
As well as all the pets being on display tomorrow, there will be stalls selling Christmas gifts and Father Christmas will be dropping in.
