YORK City boss Terry Dolan is relishing an unusual chance to be ruthless ahead of the Minstermen's first trip to Kidderminster Harriers.
With the midfield duo of Steve Agnew and Kevin Hulme available, Dolan admits he is spoilt for choice in the City engine room.
His predicament has been made worse by the fact the three midfielders who started against Radcliffe Borough last Sunday - Scott Jordan, Graham Potter and Lee Bullock - all scored in the 4-1 win.
The cut-throat chief admits he is set to cause heartache for someone as City go in search of their third win in succession but is making no apologies.
"Somebody is going to be disappointed but I would rather have that than everyone thinking they are guaranteed a place," he said.
The midfield conundrum has prevented Dolan from naming his starting line-up although it seems likely he will stick with a 4-3-3 formation and so both his defence and attack will remain unchanged.
"We have got Hulme and Agnew both available and we have got options up front," he said.
"I just wish we had the same options at the back.
"That is still the area where we need to be stronger but we can't do everything at once."
Dolan admitted after two wins on the bounce the next few weeks could make or break City's season.
A win at the Aggborough Stadium would move City level on points with 14th-placed Kidderminster with the visits of Shrewsbury Town in the League, Darlington in the LDV Vans Trophy and Reading in the FA Cup to Bootham Crescent to come.
"Two wins isn't a run as such but if you exclude the Cardiff game we haven't done too badly lately," he reasoned.
"If we get a result on Saturday we then have three home games in three different competitions in a week to look forward to.
"Without looking too far ahead we could be in a reasonable position in a couple of weeks time and with plenty to look forward to in the second-half of the season."
Whatever his selected side, Dolan is anxious City get quickly out of the blocks against Kidderminster.
"In a way they mirror their manager (Jan Molby) - they pass it around but have not been scoring too many goals recently.
"They are at home and so the onus is on them. We have got to make sure we certainly start better than we did at Cardiff and start like we did against Radcliffe."
