SUMMER has returned to flood-hit York - but for this week only.
Staff at Fitness First at Clifton Moor have set aside 20,000 square feet to recreate the holiday mood to help our Hospice 2000 Appeal.
Until Sunday members are being invited to join in the summer fun and bring along a "beach buddy", who can enjoy all the facilities of the health club for £6 for six days.
Every £6 taken will go to the St Leonard's Millennium Appeal, and if guests decide to join they will have £6 taken off their joining fee.
All departments at the club will be dressing up and organising summer-themed events, and guests will be able to use the extensive range of facilities and join in a choice of more than 40 classes, subject to availability. Mark Adamson, front of house manager for Fitness First, said: "As a company we decided to link up with St Leonard's and help them with their appeal. We wanted to organise something different for our members and help banish the winter blues and to involve all of the staff."
