I HAVE just had a wonderful day out dinosaur-hunting at Whitby.
It was a prize I won courtesy of the Evening Press and the Yorkshire Museum. The competition was part of an article earlier this year which coincided with the Walking With Dinosaurs exhibition at the museum.
Having visited the exhibition my appetite was whetted to discover more about these magnificent prehistoric creatures.
The information provided by Dr Phil Manning, the museum's dinosaur expert, was amazing. What a mine of information he is. I can now also readily identify dinosaur footprints and tracks. I also found Phil's enthusiasm and love for his work quite infectious.
So thank you, Phil. I cannot imagine a better possible ambassador for the museum. Also, good luck for your forthcoming archaeological trip to Argentina.
