THE dancing feet of three boys from York have won them a hat-trick of top prizes in a national competition.
As the film Billy Elliot continues to pull crowds into the cinemas, the talented trio from York have demonstrated a bit of real-life dancing success.
They won sections in the United Kingdom Alliance's National Medallist of the Year competition.
Nicholas Brannan, from York, won first prize in the ten and 11-year-old boys section for quick-step.
Ben Lyon, from York, won the Latin section for ten and 11-year-olds.
And Iain Harvey, from Pocklington, won the quick-step section for boys aged 12 to 15.
They are all pupils of Jean Harvey's dance school, based at Melodies in Wigginton Road, York.
Jean said: "We're really proud of them and all the 16 kids we took down did really well.
"There's been a lot of interest in the film Billy Elliot and it's great to get boys doing well."
