Tadcaster went down fighting against Yorkshire League division five leaders Sheffield Bankers VI, losing 2-0 but without disgracing themselves against a fine side.
Sheffield's movement and passing was excellent and they made good pressure count with an early goal.
Tadcaster came back into the game but without threatening the Sheffield goal, and the visitors doubled their lead just before half-time from a rebound off 'keeper Watson.
Tadcaster improved after the break and began to look threatening, and it took an excellent save from the Sheffield 'keeper to deny striker Jackson.
Both teams had chances to add to the scoreline with Sheffield, who had the majority, being denied by defensive duo Wood and Lunn and by in-form 'keeper Watson, who pulled off a string of fine saves.
Tadcaster II enjoyed a deserved 3-1 victory at Lincoln thanks to some fine teamwork and a battling display.
Tad were kept in their own half for the opening five minutes, but then began to control the game with the midfield trio of Stewart, Hunt and Dowall dominating proceedings.
They went ahead when Holmes' through pass to Oxterby saw the right winger flick the ball home, and added a second when defender Dyll's 70-yard pass saw Burrell square the ball to Hill to score.
Lincoln tried to press at the restart but were caught out by a counter-attack which saw Dyll hammer the ball upfield to Oxterby who swept it across to Holmes, who in turn flicked it home.
Lincoln threw everything forward but other than scoring a fine consolation goal following a solo run were met by a resilient Tad defence.
