A splendid 19 darts pairs game by Angie Hields and Sue Smith was the highlight as City Arms beat Layerthorpe in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.
Brigadier had Carole Layne hitting three tons, Jo Hodges and Roz Kerr two tons and captain Sue Lowery hitting a maximum as they ran out 6-3 winners at Three Cranes.
For the latter Diane Moreland was a triple-ton scorer and Claire Cooper also chipped in with big scores.
Cygnet beat Vaults 6-3, while Sandra Bruce and Karen Alton sealed Ox's win against Clifton. Mel Walshaw and Lucy Harris took the decider for Puss 'n Boots at Wenlock after Julie Scattergood had weighted in three tons.
Vicky Middleton included two tons as Slipper beat Cygnet to tame up ground on top-placed Shepherd's in division two. Clifton lost to Dringhouses their only point coming from Linda Embleton.
Half Moon won all the singles against Britannia 'B' who bounced back to win the pairs. Britannia 'A' lost by the same 6-3 margin at Severus.
Burton WMC lead division three but were made to fight at Slip. Margaret Davis and Jackie Ridall saw the leaders home with a 5-4 result.
Second-placed Woolpack had Sharon Nelson hitting the tons but good scoring by Yvonne Watson and Cath Sturdy helped Poacher win 6-3.
Sue Wentworth and Mavis Rawcliffe secured a 5-4 victory for Tang Hall WMC against Mitre whose Wendy Smith hit the high scores.
Angie Lancaster gamed in 23 darts while Maxine Midgley and Brenda Dawe took Jubilee to a hard fought 5-4 win against Clifton.
Gerry Morgan and Julie Brownlee won the decider for Mount after good play by Doti Woodall and Sue Holmes against Leeman.
Division four leaders Queen were on level terms with Shepherd's after the singles as Sue Lacy and S Beanland put the club side in front but Barbara Russell and Sharon Rishworth levelled then cheered on Shelagh Kenny and Ann Regan to the decider.
Junction have a match in hand and are hot on the heels of Queen following a 6-3 win over Beeswing.
Linda Goldsmith and Michelle Kelly got Leeman 'C' back in winning mode as they sealed the win 5-4 against Puss 'n Boots. Leeman had Flo Crampton and Eileen White acting in the same capacity against Cueball.
The two division one teams with unblemished records clashed in York White Rose Ladies League.
Skipper Jane Barnes hit a terrific 20 darter for Burton WNC but front-runners Sun stepped up a gear with Carol Raftree, Audrey Scorfield and then Sheelagh Lord consigning Burton to their first defeat of the season. Sun's lead is now a sensational 17 points.
Maureen Tindall was again on form, hitting a fine 23 darts to put Institute 3-1 up against Vaults. Irene Taylor increased this lead but Vaults fought back from the brink of defeat by winning the last four, skipper Pauline Rodi clinching the match at the death.
Beryl Glover closed a splendid 21 darts for Fulfordgate, but Crescent countered with 23 from Joan Bean, followed by 22 from Pam Husband.
Sharon Powell then took the decider to give Crescent their second win of the season.
New York's Carole Foottit was on hand to seal the victory against Deramore.
Tap and Spile took advantage of Clarence's free week in division two by beating Bowling 6-3. New Earswick's 5-4 win over Six Bells prevented the Strensall side from taking overall charge, while Pat Drake clinched victory for Bumper over Collingwood which moves them off the foot of the table.
Karen Butler saw Shanter to a 6-3 victory over Burton Stone, to move into a two-point lead at the top of division three. Coach were involved in a tremendous encounter against Magnet. However Yvonne Ryder held her nerve to seal a 5-4 win for the Tadcaster team.
Huntington improved their winning streak to five, but they had to rely on late wins from Wendy Pearson and Margaret Clapham to finally finish off King William.
Alice remain in the hunt, Violet Peacock clinching the match against Tankard.
Week two of the Unique Pub Company sponsored York Open at Punch Bowl saw John Mooring and Kevin Weaver (Castleford) through to the final play-off on December 23.
Week three rounds included a superb 11 dart (double 18 for ten) from Paul Cooper to go with 18 and 19 in the elimination of Mick Willsden (18).
Cooper went on to qualify with 16 and 18 then 19 darts against Mick Coupland.
Leeds-based Dave Smith showed his county class in the other half of the draw.
A 20, 19, 17 dart performance took out John Pickering (17) and a swift 16, 14, 18 denied Darren Weaver progress.
Rounds take place each Friday until December 8. Round eight is on Wednesday December 20.
