Midfielder Marcus Jones has become the latest player to join the Scarborough exodus.

Jones has joined third division Cheltenham Town, with Steve Cotterill's club taking over his contract until the end of the season.

Boro entertain Stevenage tomorrow with the Seadogs' squad gradually being thinned out in accordance with the wishes of owner Brooks Mileson.

Chris Tate's £25,000 move to Leyton Orient was finalised this week and Stewart Morris has agreed to join Frickley on non-contract terms.

It is also understood that Boston have re-affirmed their interest in centre-back Paul Ellender.

Scarborough boss Neil Thompson remains upbeat and said: "We played well in the second half last week and we are looking to build on that performance."

He will name the same side which drew at Boston last week - assuming no more players leave the club today.

Cherif Diallo, the Senegalese born striker who has scored in his last three games, will again partner Steve Brodie in attack.

Tomorrow's match has been brought forward from December 30 after both sides were knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth qualifying round.

Three Boro players - Gary Ellender, Brodie and Andy Woods - are in the FA squad to face a UniBond League side in Monday's trial for the England semi-professional squad.
