York will have an almighty task on their hands if they are to pick up their first points of the North Two East season at third placed Redcar tomorrow.
After losing to lowly West Park Bramhope last Saturday, they face an even stiffer test against the team led by former Great Britain rugby league international Garry Schofield.
Three changes have been made in the backs. Ed Bennison, who made an impact when coming on as a substitute last week, is selected at centre.
Sean Bass moves to the wing to accommodate him, replacing Tom Heppleston who moves to the bench.
Tom Copeland, who has now fully recovered from a thigh injury, takes the place of Simon Bullough at full back.
The pack is the same as that which finished last week's match with Andy Kay replacing Mike Bewell who has not recovered from injury.
Pocklington can expect an evenly-matched game against Old Brodleians in Yorkshire One.
Both teams lie in mid-table with the same record so home advantage could prove decisive for Pock. Gary Pearce's side were well beaten 21-3 by Yarnbury last week so will be looking to bounce back.
There is a doubt over Pearce who has a broken finger while flanker Andy Green is ruled out with a shoulder injury.
Simon Lewis and Ben Hirst are added to the squad after missing last week because of work commitments.
York RI could do Yorkshire Three leaders and neighbours Malton and Norton a favour if they can beat second placed Heath tomorrow.
Geoff Russell takes the front row place of Mark Bond, who has damaged an ankle, while Ian Andrews comes in for the unavailable Paul Reed at prop.
Former York player Shaun Thompson earns a place on RI's bench.
Strength in depth is paying dividends for Malton and Norton. Not only do they top their league with with six wins and a draw from eight games, but their second string top their Merit Table.
Malton have made several team changes for tomorrow's home game with Bramley Phoenix.
Chris Creber awaits a fitness test on a groin strain while Creber's half-back partner, Andy Newsome, is unavailable, so Adrian Hall makes his second first team appearance.
Both centres, Tim Chapman and Dave Webster, are missing but Neil Gilbertson returns from holiday and Arthur Wilson is promoted to the starting line-up.
Up front, Carl Rushworth is recalled at prop as Tom Eddy is unavailable.
Malton and Norton's third team entertain a Nestl Rowntree XV that is led this week by Joff Sowray. He is deputising for his brother, David, who is in a party of 12 Rowntree players who have gone to Twickenham for the England v Australia game.
Yorkshire Two leaders Scarborough are at home to mid-table Castleford against whom 'Boro aim to make it seven wins from nine games.
Goole face a tough test at Old Crossleyans, whose powerful pack may well dominate on a heavy pitch.
Absent from Goole's pack is key flanker Neil Cawood, so Darren Moore switches to the back row, with stalwart Brian Cook coming into the team.
Selby's 'A' team captain, Kevin Lowery, gives way to Jason Cisero at lock for the Yorkshire One trip to Wheatley Hills. Farmer John Hick also returns to the second row at the expense of Mark Toy, after rescuing his cattle from the floods last Saturday.
National Two leaders Harrogate face possibly their toughest task of a blossoming season when they make the short journey to fierce rivals Wharfedale.
Harrogate give new signing John Dudley his first start in place of Richard Wade at number 8.
Ex-Rotherham forward Dudley, 34, made a big impression in the 30 minutes he was on the field against Fylde, coming off the bench for Wade.
Coach Ralph Zoing accepts Wade is unlucky to find himself relegated to the bench but expects him to bounce back.
"When he moved up two divisions to join us from Sandal I don't think he expected to start the season as first choice. But he came in and did a tremendous job. But now we have signed Dudley we want to use him," said Zoing.
Dudley is the only change to the team which beat Fylde while Wade will be joined on the bench by long serving centre, newly-married Craig Reed, whose season has also been affected by injury.
Jon McNeish and Mark Bevan vie for the front row replacement spot.
