TRADERS at Clifton Moor are to have their own joint website.
The website will be formally launched after months of preparation by the Clifton Moor Business Association at Minster Jaguar on the industrial and commercial estate on Thursday, December 7.
Solicitor Jane Sachedina, chairman of the Association, said there would be hyperlinks directly into the tailored websites. The members, who represent about a third of the estate's business population, will also post up a detailed map of the estate to counter what they perceive as a lack of signposting.
She said: "We plan to feature the Clifton Moor 'business of the month' and set up a property site so that firms wanting to relocate to Clifton Moor can see what offices or factory sites are available. I spend a fair amount of my time taking calls from people who want to do just that."
Other possibilities being considered were a discussion forum and a jobs vacancy notice board. "We have lots of job shortages particularly at administrative and secretarial levels," she said.
