I HOPE information given in the letter from York Women's Aid (Evening Press, November 1) helps persuade frightened victims of domestic violence - including those subjected to continual destructive verbal abuse - to contact the advice line.
So many women 'put up and shut up' simply because, on the whole, people refuse to believe that those outwardly utterly charming men concerned are vicious bullies.
