Roy Templeman has missed the point when he talks about the costs of maintaining a park around Clifford's Tower.
Surely that could be paid for by the new car park proposed for Piccadilly.
Is the council undertaking an independent impact study on shopping in the rest of York?
If so, this should be made public for consultation without delay.
The other thing that should be made public is the financial details on the existing or proposed land transactions between the council and developers Land Securities.
