At least three people were injured in a three-car accident on the outskirts of York today.
At around 11.20am police and the ambulance service were called to Wigginton Road, York, near the Bumper Castle pub where two cars had ended up in ditches on either side of the road and one remained in the middle of the road.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Ambulance Service said two ambulances had been dispatched to the scene, one had taken at least one person to York District Hospital with what was thought to be minor injuries.
The other had taken two males to hospital, one with cuts to his head and one with a neck injury.
The road was closed while the police and scenes of crimes officers examined and cleaned up the scene.
