The Cueball Pool League Winter season kicked off with a big win for Division One newcomers Cueball Club 'B' who thrashed Edinburgh Arms 8-2.
Volunteer Arms 'B' were the only other team to record a victory after Don Pickard won the last two frames against Huntington Sports 'A' for whom Eric Dower won twice.
Graham Campbell won twice for Mr Q's in their draw with Cueball Club 'A' whose Simon Barrass recorded two wins.
Tang Hall's Paul Farmeary won both his frames, as did Health Club's Johnny Green, in their stalemate.
Bay Horse 'B' and Caravan Club also finished all square.
Huntington Sports 'B' beat Volunteer Arms 'A' thanks to two each from Rob Smith and Steve Brown in Division Two.
G Smith won the last two frames to give Burton Stone the edge against Poacher.
Ainsty and Cygnet finished all square while Pack of Cards edged out Bay Horse 'A'.
Britannia and Layerthorpe postponed their match due to weather problems.
Post Office Club are the early pacesetters in Division Three after Mal Pipes, Steve Raby and Alan Campy won two each in an 8-2 defeat of Poppleton Road WMC.
Chris Myers won twice for Brown Cow but Ian Smith's two wins gave White Rose victory.
D Rennison won twice as Turf Tavern beat Bishopthorpe Sc.
Graham Bell won both his frames as Tramways drew with Old Grey Mare for whom Dave Turnbull won his frames.
