Dringhouses made progress in the York Leeper Hare Football League's Senior League Cup as they scored a 3-2 win at Dunnington.
Dunnington made a strong start but after 40 minutes 'Houses went ahead when Mark Ratcliffe took advantage of a sloppy error to score from a corner.
The game was delayed for 20 minutes when Dunnington midfielder Lee West sustained a nasty injury, and had to be taken by ambulance to Hull Infirmary. Three minutes after the restart, Dringhouses increased their lead, with a John Lake opportunist goal.
Houses got on top before Lake put them three up with an outstanding individual goal. In the final 15 minutes Dunnington lifted their game to narrow the gap through Matt Shelton and six minutes later the villagers bagged their second with Paul Rulkin on target.
In a typical hard fought cup-tie premier division Rufforth beat division one side Riccall 4-3.
Rufforth were first to score through Paul Moss but Riccall counter-attacked to equalise, Paul Hughes finishing off a good three man move.
Phil Jones was on target to regain the lead for Rufforth, but a few minutes later Hollis Bills levelled to make it 2-2 at half-time. After the break the visitors really made their mark and two more goals were added by Paul Moss and John Ayers.
Riccall fought back to register their third through Sean Steward.
In the premier division York Sugar went down 4-1 at home to Crayke.
The visitors opened up their account from the penalty spot, Tim Jackson making no mistake.
The same player then struck a good shot that was deflected giving keeper Mark Howlett no chance, for Crayke to go in to the second half two up. However, in the second half they went further ahead through an own goal.
The Sugarmen got onto the score sheet, Mike Gibson snapping up his chance. Crayke came back for Dan Copeland to fire home their fourth goal.
