THANK goodness that your paper employs Julian Cole. Of all the columnists he is one of the most readable and sensible I have come across at either national or local level.
His contributions, particularly on the fuel crisis, have been balanced and factual and added substance to the debate rather than grabbed the headlines. While so many others have short-term, I hope, rejected the notion of democracy and encouraged the so called "protesters", his has been the voice of reason.
