TRAFALGAR were toppled from the York Exhibition Hotel Group League division one leadership by Flag and Whistle.
Paul Calpin sparked off Flag and Whistle's 6-3 victory with a splendid 17 darts. Gordon Foster followed with a fine 20 game and 180 scorer Dave Norris took the match points within the singles.
Cygnet shot to an 8-1 win over Acorn and are the new leaders. Keith Turner included 180 for an excellent 18 darter.
Holgate took all three pair encounters to pip Poacher 5-4, Gary Stewart-Mick Brookes winning the decider. Ray McInally threw 180 for 19 darts for Poacher and their skipper, Gary Hannigan, made his exit on 100.
Pete Green (20) won well for Green Tree 'B' but Horseman gathered a 5-4 win with Mick and Mark Addinall.
Shepherd's 'A' were well in control of Osbaldwick with Kev Walton (20), Dave Gibbons (20) and Chas Ramsden (21) having fine games.
Dringhouses were again given a good start by Barry Noble (20) against Shepherds 'B' and Pete Langan-John Crowe clinched the match 5-4.
New Earswick piled on the tons to suppress Sun 'B' but Sun 'A' recorded a 7-2 win at Waggon, which was started by a superb 17 by Ian Cryle.
John Holtby partnered Colin Hodges to get Green Tree 'A' a 5-4 verdict against Swan and Paul Chappell-Tom Turley took Institute 'A' to a 5-4 victory at Slip.
Victoria Vaults beat Institute 'B' 8-1 which included a maximum score from Keith Dodd.
Chris Thompson threw a magnificent 14 darts as Britannia 'A' maintained pole position in York Maxiprint League division one.
Paul Botterill (17) had given Volunteer an excellent start, but solid scoring from all the Britannia team ensured an emphatic result. Thompson completed the 8-1 rout with a 102 check-out in the final pairs game.
A 17-darter from Dave Pilmoor set Escrick on their way against Nags Head whose only singles success came from Paul Roberts. Further high scores from Pilmoor and a splendid 180 from Mark Blundell wrapped up a 7-2 victory. Pick of the the Nags side was Neil Hart.
Punch went 4-0 up with John Mooring (14) and Martin Waddington (19) each including 180s and Martyn Turner producing a 17 darter as they recorded a tremendous 7-2 win over Britannia 'B' whose best was Lee Brundrett.
Division two leaders Tap had to wait until the ninth game to gain victory at Jackdaw. Darren Bailey (21), who then partnered Stu Ogilvy, also secured the aggregate point. Jackdaw were well served by Mark Sommerville.
Pack kept up their quest for honours with a 6-3 win at Crown, which included good games from Dave Smith and Danny Mahon. Ebor had a hard-fought match with Six Bells before running out 5-4 winners. Chris and Lynn Platt did enough to take the extra point.
Huntington secured their first win of this campaign with a 6-3 victory at Palace after being all square after the singles. Stan Isaac was outstanding for Palace.
Leeman's Roger Pirrie had a 21-darter and then combined with Steve Parkinson to take the all-important ninth game decider at Reindeer.
Crescent top division three following a 7-2 win against Royal Oak. Steve Richardson's magnificent 15 darts and Mick Powell's 19 darter were outstanding, while Kevin Jones was Oak's man in form.
Fine finishes from Kev Grant (98) and Dave Stubbs (84) highlighted Gimcrack's 6-3 at Ship, while Woolpack kept the pressure on the leading group with a 5-4 victory over Howden Arms.
