I WOULD be grateful if any of your readers could help me with the following problem relating to my family tree researches.
My surname is Topham and, according to various sources, there is a strong Yorkshire connection.
In Hanks and Hodges Dictionary of Surnames, the suggestions is that it derives from a place near Snaith, Yorkshire.
Has anyone with the same surname researched its origins?
If so I would be very interested to know about it.
Many thanks for your help.
