Selby-based Derwent Table tennis Club is offering ambitious youngsters the chance to make their mark in the sport.
The club are particularly keen to recruit youngsters aged between eight and 12 to form a new junior squad, though youngsters of all ages are welcome.
Mick Wilcockson, a qualified coach and experienced player in the National League and in York and Selby leagues, said that the club want to form a squad of young players to help develop them into strong players who can later be introduced to competition via local league play and for some to eventually move on to county and national events.
The Derwent club have teams in the National League.
The club hold coaching sessions at Selby High School sports hall on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9.15pm, with English Table Tennis Association qualified coaches.
Coaching costs £2 a session. Bats will be provided for players if required.
