Beckett League division one leaders Kirkbymoorside Reserves completed a league double over Aislaby United, beating them 5-2.
The Moorsiders fielded a strengthened team as their first team match was not played. Philip Butler gave the Moorsiders the lead after ten minutes, scoring with an unstoppable 18-yard shot.
After 20 minutes Kirkbymoorside went two up when Trevor Magson scored from the penalty spot after Alex Strickland had been fouled and ten minutes before half-time Strickland put the Moorsiders 3-0 ahead at the interval.
Colin Franks pulled a goal back for Aislaby before Richard Bayes score against his former club to put the Moorsiders 4-1 ahead.
David Greenlay, who came on as substitute with twenty minutes remaining, got the fifth goal for Kirkbymoorside and Franks notched his second goal for Aislaby.
Slingsby scored only their second league win of the season and inflicted the first defeat of the season on Rosedale.
Andy Bingham put visitors Slingsby ahead after 15 minutes with his first goal of the season. John Tindal equalised from the penalty spot after half an hour and Chris Woodall scored the winner after 70 minutes.
The improving young Sinnington side scored their second league win of the season, beating a weakened Union Rovers 3-2. Goals by Paul Harland and Bobby Brewer put Sinnington 2-0 up at the interval.
Richard Abbey pulled one back for the visitors before Brewer notched his fifth goal of the season since his transfer from Aislaby United to restore Sinnington's two-goal lead. Ten minutes from the end Nigel Allen scored Rovers' second goal.
Kirkdale won 3-2 at Thornton-le-Dale, Patrick Robinson scoring the winner after 70 minutes. Kirkdale led twice in the first half thanks to a goal each by bothers Martin and Philip Charlton in between which Tony Wootton scored for Thornton-le-Dale. Richard Swiers equalised for the home side after 35 minutes.
Steve Sailes opened the scoring after 21 minutes for Black Swan Pickering, who won 3-1 at Coxwold.
Black Swan adapted to playing in heavy rain by using the long ball and Sailes ran on to one of these and slotted the ball into the net.
Three minutes later Simon Dale ran on to a long ball, robbed a defender and put Black Swan 2-0 up. Swan's goalkeeper Kevin Wilson made it 3-0 after 39 minutes, scoring from the penalty spot after Tom Bowley had been brought down.
Russell Burn scored for Coxwold after 50 minutes, following a corner. Coxwold goalkeeper Daniel Jaques made several fine saves.
Division two leaders Ampleforth won 4-1 at home to nearest challengers Westlers United in a match which was switched to Ampleforth of the bad weather elsewhere.
Dave Wallinger put Ampleforth ahead after 20 minutes, scoring with an unstoppable 18-yard shot. Kevin Wright made it 2-0 from a free kick five minutes before the interval.
Ben Walls (65 minutes) and Wright (85th minute penalty following a foul on Wallinger) scored for Ampleforth in the second half.
Lee Rudd netted for Westlers after 75 minutes, only the second goal Ampleforth have conceded in the league so far this season.
A second half hat-trick by Martin Turner, who had come on as substitute, saw Gillamoor beat Ryedale Sports Club Reserves 4-1.
Martin Foster opened the scoring for Gillamoor and Ryedale equalised before the interval.
Ryedale finished with nine players after Shaun Hornby and Joe Woodhead were sent off. Gillamoor's Craig Ibbitson was cautioned, as was Ryedale's Steve Walker.
Two goals late in the game gave Bagby and Balk a 4-3 win over Duncombe Park, who had led 2-0 after twenty minutes with goals by Brian Connor and Paul Brackley (penalty after Craig Newton had been brought down).
Bagby and Balk pulled a goal back before the interval and equalised early in the second half.
David Otterburn regained the lead for Duncombe Park but Bagby and Balk hit back to win.
Bottom team Old Red House gained their first point of the season, drawing 1-1 away to Heslerton Reserves.
Jonathan Kendall put Old Red House ahead direct from a corner. Dave Hornby equalised before the interval.
Heslerton hit the crossbar and the post twice in the second half and also twice cleared off their own line.
Despite the bad weather only one league fixture was postponed, Old Malton 3rds v Pickering Royal Oak.
