Ryedale Red Cross workers now have a headquarters to be proud of after the charity's newly refurbished training room was reopened today.
President of the North Yorkshire Red Cross, Miranda Armitage, visited Malton to declare the room open.
It will serve as a meeting place for Red Cross Voluntary groups who are looking for new members, and provides a local facility for training activities and meetings.
The charity will also run approved First Aid at Work training courses from the new room, to enable local employers to meet Health and Safety legislation.
Red Cross spokeswoman Gill Morrow said: "The improved and refurbished room will serve as a real asset not only for the Red Cross but for the community as a whole."
