Mark Tomlinson scored the only goal of the game with three minutes of extra time remaining to put Stamford Bridge reserves through to the next round of the Leeper Hare York and District Football League Reserve Cup at the expense of New Earswick.

Copmanthorpe and Osbaldwick were neck and neck throughout normal time with Joe Sollitt (2) and Calum McKay on target for Copmanthorpe and John O'Neil, Matthew Woodcock and Neil Price for Osbaldwick.

The game went into extra time and Neil Price hit a further four goals to clinch it for Osbaldwick.

Haxby and Wigginton from Reserve C overcame Poppleton 4-3. Rich Hunt and Kevin Andrews put Haxby and Wigginton two up at half time.

Poppleton conceded an own goal one minute after the restart but then fought back to score through Chris Cook and Dave Asbury. Carl Kidds put Haxby and Wigginton further ahead but Steve Penhaligan reduced the arrears yet again with a penalty but Poppleton could not find the equaliser as time ran out.

Nestl Rowntree had a confidence boosting romp. Kevin Marton and Alex Pearson both scored hat-tricks and Chris Morton netted once as they hit eight against Stillington. Nick Morfoot and Shaun Linton hit consolation goals for Stillington. Pocklington's Les Falkingham, Dave O'Connor and Chris Tatterton scored the goals that knocked out Haxby Town 3-0 and Riccall's Kevin Kozicki (2), Stewart Winter and Tony Fowler saw off the challenge of Wilberfoss 4-0.

Adrian Gray scored the only goal of the game as St John's College won at South Bank and Easingwold had a fine 3-0 win over Fulford with goals from Chris Hughes, Andrew Bell and Ross Hardy.

Several Kartiers players turned up late at Huby and their team almost paid the price as the home side went three up through Lee Brogan (2) and Clive McGuiness. The visitors recovered their composure and eventually ran out 6-3 winners with Neil Taylor scoring a hat-trick.

Reserve C outfit Norton held a

1-0 lead after 45 minutes at Dunnington but a half-time pep talk roused the home team and they responded with two hat-tricks; the first from Neil Haw and the second from 17-year-old old Michael Walker, who had come on as a substitute ten minutes into the second half. Mal Pepper completed the scoring for Dunnington as they ran out 7-2 winners.

Andy Armitage, Simon Johnson and Frankie Adams scored for Wigginton Black Horse as they beat Malton Bacon Factory 3-1. White Horse switched their home tie to Old Malton but went down 6-1 as the Reserve A side proved too strong for their Reserve C opponents. Nathan Milner (3), Danny Cooper (2) and Mark Taylor were on target for Old Malton with Owen Seymour scoring for White Horse.

Lowly Wheldrake held Reserve A champions Dringhouses to a one-goal lead by half-time but in the second half Dringhouses completely outclassed their opponents, finishing 10-1 winners. Steve Cross hit five, Jimmy McMurray two and Darren Duffill, Mark Pragnell and Gary Young managed one apiece. Gareth Jones replied for Wheldrake.
