I WOULD like to reassure readers that the famous purple Quality Street tin will still be with us for this Christmas and, more than likely, many Christmases to come.
Your report stated that the tin had been replaced by the new-style plastic tub (October 20) which is not so. The tub is simply an addition to the range that has been introduced to increase the brand's 'shareability' and informality and to attract younger consumers.
I would also reiterate that we may have said goodbye to the Major and Miss characters on the packs but only to make way for bigger pictures of what the brand is really all about - the sweets inside.
We are confident that the public will find the new, re-launched Quality Street more appealing than ever before.
