Looking for a manicure or even a womanicure? Then this bar could be the place for you.
The latest in London health and beauty treatments comes up north with the opening of a new manicure parlour - with booze.
Nailbarone, in Swinegate, is offering York's women, and men, express, non-appointment hand and nail treatments in a friendly environment with a licence to sell wine and beer in the pipeline.
Co-founders Maxine Hill and Jackie Kilpatrick are looking to add to York's new "sophisticated image" which has seen fancy new wine bars opening all over the city.
"York is changing and we think the service we are offering will fit in perfectly to the change in attitude here," said 30-year-old manicurist and former Crown Prosecution Service employee Jackie.
"People care more about how they look now and our treatments will be perfect for them."
The bar will offer a range of hand and nail treatments to both sexes, as well as a relaxed setting with music and zebra-pattern soft furnishings.
The two beauty specialists will be applying for a licence to sell alcohol, something they hope to bring in early next year.
Gift certificates are available which the girls hope "will make the perfect Christmas present".
