AMID tears at a Selby inquest court, a tale of true courage and humanity emerged.
Seven months ago Nicola Dyson was rescued from her blazing car by a stranger.
Yesterday, in a moment of high emotion, she met her rescuer for the first time.
Geoff Thomas, a miner from Selby, had thought nothing of his own safety when he plunged into the car pulling Nicola to safety with seconds to spare.
He saved her life with an act of pure heroism.
We must all pray that someone as selfless as Geoff is on hand in our moment of need.
