It's a turf job, but Stephen Edwards had to do it.
The 27-year-old Inturf Company Director was one of the lucky few who had the honour of being part of the end of an era - digging up the Wembley pitch.
The Wilberfoss company, which has laid the green stuff at such venues as Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, Wimbledon's centre court and York City's Bootham Crescent, headed down Wembley way this week to bring a piece of history back to East Yorkshire.
"It was like being at a match without the crowd," he told the Evening Press with a foot on the turf set to be shipped out to winners of a Snickers promotion.
"It has been a great 15-year relationship with Wembley, it is wonderful to have been involved."
The turf has returned home for up to two months while it is stored before being rolled up and shipped off to the various charities and auctioneers who are disposing of it.
